My Dogs
In 40 years I've personally owned 14 Siberians, 5 of which are still living with me and not finish their careers. I've never kept statistics but I thought I do a quick tally. I honestly have no idea re number of group wins or placements, etc.
- 3 Best In Show winners (1 Mult BIS winner - Pippin)
- 2 Reserve Best In Show winners
- 2 US Specialty Award of Merit winners (one - Pippin - at a National, actually 2 Nationals and Siri at the Yankee Specialty at 10 years of age and several Specialty class winners
- At least 2 Best Veteran in Show winners , 1 Best Brace in Show winner and a few Best Puppy in Group winners (I don't show puppies a lot)
- 11 Canadian Champions, 3 American Champions (plus Jive has both US majors)
- 10 have worked in harness, 8 have been to races, 6 are titled
- 11 Obedience title (Reg. Obed, CGN, or Rally) A few of these have been High in Class winners.
- 1 Agility titled
- 7 Therapy Dogs; 1 (Pippin) Children Therapy Dog and Ali is my 5th generation Therapy Dog
Co-Owned Dogs
Co-ownerships are what have allowed me to keep a breeding program going while keeping my own numbers down so they are very important to me as a breeder. However, I have also learned to appreciate them due to the wonderful frendships I've formed over the years. Although the majority of my co-owns are in "pet homes" where the owner have no interest in showing, some of the dogs have got into the ring and even more out running on the team.
Statistics: Again never kept track but this is what I have been able to count up from the past litter page:

In Companion Homes
I do not like to sell my pups outside of Atlantic Canada and even prefer they be within the Maritime Provinces. I just don't feel I should sell a pup somewhere that I would financially have difficulties helping out in person or getting the pup back if needed. So in 40 years, 24 litters (105 pups), I've only sold 2 pups to homes outside Atlantic Canada. This does mean I cannot brag about champions, etc. around the world. However, I'm extremely proud of the fact that I've been able to stay in touch with almost all my pups for their whole lives and have only had to help rehome less then a handful in the past 40 years.
