Weaver
Information
Weaver was a singleton pup and he seems to know he is special. While I did "import" a couple Cocker puppy friends, Bridget and Sparkles, to be playmates for Weaver when he was 6-8 weeks of age, he just seems to know he is the "one and only" and has the attitude to go with that. Like his grandmother Siri before him, he figures everything centers

around him.
He was the beginning of my combining show and working lines and that in itself makes him very special but it is also his personality that makes him so very special. Weaver loves everyone and everyone who meets Weaver, loves him. He will put his paws up on you, look you straight in the face and "talks" to you. He is the pup that most reminds me of his father Levi, especially when it comes to his intelligence. Weaver will always hold a special place in my heart. |

Although officially in my name, Weaver has lived with Amber Welch and Jeff Powers in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia since Jan. 2005. They both just love Weaver to bits. Amber and Jeff, have done some obedience and agility with Weaver as well they have shown him a little and run him on their team where he has run in all positions including lead.
Show Career
Weaver has 5 points towards his Canadian Championship, however, Amber and Jeff are more interested in running their dogs so Weaver never finished his championship. Amber and Jeff also got frustrated with the show ring that all too often awards short legged, fluffy, cute Siberians with flashy, but wasteful, high lifting side gait rather then a functional Siberian. Weaver actually had ribbons withheld on him on a couple occasions for "lack of breed type and conditioning". These comments on a dog that was doing 20 mile runs in harness at the time! In contrast, certainly the highlight of Weaver's show career was when he won a very competitive Working Dog class at the 2008 Siberian Husky Club of Canada National Specialty under noted Iditarod musher and Siberian breeder, Karen Ramstead.
Show Highlights
2008, Aug. 30th: Siberian Husky Club of Canada National Specialty - Winner Working Dog Class under Karen Ramstead (9 dogs entered)
In Harness
Weaver has run any position on Amber and Jeff's team including lead and was their main leader for a few years.
