JuJube "Jubie"

Jubie is from the Junk Food litter out of Crunchie x Ali. I figured with Crunchie being from Karen's Chocolate Bar litter and Ali's registered name being "A Spoonful of Sugar" that Junk Food would be appropriate for this litter. J

Jubie was my vet's pick of this litter and she was named after his favourite junk food - JuJubes. I really respect my vet's opinion when we evaluate litters and had a very difficult time deciding which pup to keep from this litter but in the end decided to place Jubie on a co-ownership with Margaret Ann Shaw who is a friend that lives in New Brunswick with several dogs that I bred.

Jubie's Parents

Jubie's dad, Crunchie, is simply an amazing dog. He is a 4 Time Iditarod Finisher including 2012 at 10.5 years of age. That's 1,000 miles in harness at 10 1/2! He has over 30,000 miles in harness and was never injured or dropped from a race. He is also a Canadian Champion and Group placer. Ali, Jubie mom, is a Canadian Champion, been a main leader along with her dad, Pippin, for me for the past 2 years. She is my upcoming obedience dog and hopefully soon to be a Therapy Dog as well.

Margaret Ann's Comments on Jubie

I asked Margaret Ann to tell me about JuJube and this is what she said:
-we call her stealth. She is so agile and light on her feet that we never know that she walks in a room
- she creates opportunities. We give her a bone but she chooses to wait for someone to lose focus and then she goes in.  She enjoys the challenge
-eye mouth coordination.... A very successful bird hunter. The only one of our 4 to even have interest in flying prey
-adaptable and quickly goes through anything new with the attitude to face it head on while reacting to it.
