Dog Show Ring:
Breeder/owner/handler of Multi Best In Show, Best in Show, Group, and multi National Award of Merit and Regional AOM winner. In 2012 Multi BIS Can GChEx. / Am / CFC Ch Chimini's Peregrin Took WD, CGN, RA, SHCA & SHCC National AOM was the #3 Siberian in Canada.
On the Trail:
I've been running my dogs in harness since 1991 and have put working dogs titles on a number of my dogs. I have participated in sprint races.
Obedience, Rally, Agility:
I have put obedience, rally and agility titles on my dogs and have been the owner or breeder/owner of several High In Class winners for both regular and rally obedience. In 2014 Jive, RBIS Can/CFC Elite Ch. Chimini's Shall We Dance WLD, CGN, RE was the #2 Siberian in Rally Obedience in Canada.
I've also been teaching all breed dog training classes since 1998.
Saint John Ambulance Therapy Dogs:
I been doing therapy dog work with my dogs since 1991. Jive is a third generation Therapy Dog and I'm hoping in the near future her son and grand daughter will become Therapy Dogs. I really enjoy visiting and spending time with the seniors and they love to see the dogs.
Other:
- In October 1998 I gave a presentation on the Siberian Husky to the Atlantic Canada Judges Association.
- My dogs and I have appeared on several TV programs including Breakfast Television, Land and Sea, Switchback, and Dog Talk. They have also been used as the mascots for St. Mary's University "Huskies" football team and for the front cover of the University Student Handbook. We have also participated in a number of community events such as the Nova Scotia Museum's "Klondike Days".
