In the Show Ring
I can honestly say that in this area Levi has truly been a labour of love. I knew from the beginning that the quality and potential was there for him to do well in the show ring but Levi had a bad scare with a man when he was a puppy that resulted in him being quite shy of men. He loved all women, always called him my "lady's man", but he was very nervous around men when he was young which made it off course very difficult to show him.

Levi also came from physically slow maturing lines. Never have I been SO patient on waiting for a dog to mature, both mentally and physically, to be ready for the show ring. Levi did not enter the "real" show ring until he was four years old and then only a few shows with me. Even though he did pick up a couple of group placements with me handling him, I quickly realized my legs were just too short to do this boy justice.
So with the start of 2003, I brought on board two friends, John Macdonald and Susan Shepherd to handle Levi for me in the show ring. He began the year at the Cobequid Dog Club where on March 29th, 2003 he finished his Canadian Championship with a Group 1st win! The very next show weekend John skillfully piloted Levi all the way to the top with a Best in Show win!! Within two months he was not just a Canadian Champion but also a multi Group 1st and a Best in Show winner. In 2003 he was shown 28 times in Canada obtaining 21 Group placements including 8 Gr. 1st wins and one Best In Show win. My unofficial calculations has him as the #6 Siberian in Canada in 2003. My patience and faith in him had paid off!!
